Murphy

08/26/2003-

Hi! I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how well Murphy is doing. He has really made himself at home. He's grown quite accustomed to his big dog bed in the middle of the living room. EVERYONE loves him, and he goes everywhere with us. He didn't know how to use the stairs and it was really funny teaching him, he'd whine and wag his tail and bark that he wasn't going to go up them. Course now he shows off by bolting up and down as fast as he can. He goes to work everyday with Brian and is the hit on the job. We took him canoeing on the Saco River a couple of weekends ago and he sat in the front of the canoe watching everything go by. By the end of the weekend people began to recognize him and yell out, "Hey there goes Murphy!". He has done so well at obedience school, really I hate to brag, but he is the most well behaved and smartest dog in the class. (It's not bragging if it's true...) You said that you were more concerned about the dogs than the people so I just wanted to let you know how well Murphy is doing. All three of us are very happy and if you could let his foster mother in Ohio know how well he is doing I would appreciate it.

P.S. I'm not going to lie to you, Murphy sleeps with us in the big bed at night....with his head on the pillow, he's completely spoiled!
