09/30/2003- Just wanted to update you on Gabby...a 2 yo Black Lab mix I adopted on arainy Sunday in March. She is a delight. She has adapted very well...loves to ride, swim, tent camp, canoe, go for walks, the cats food! She knows "up you go" means my bed time and a belly rub! She loves and thrives on attention. Her eyes are much brighter...big "who me?" and "love me" Lab eyes....no longer the slit, "I have been moved around enough" look. She is learning commands: sit, stay, heel, shake, lie down and belly up..."Come" is not coming easily! However, she is very eager to please. She has learned to trust me. She wags her tail constantly now...even smiles! I had to kennel her in August and she did very well at "Doggie Camp and Spa"! |
