Spay/Neuter Help Be a Lifesaver - Spay and Neuter. Friends of the Jefferson Animal has vouchers available for low-cost spay/neuter for the felines of Jefferson Parish. The voucher allows Jefferson Parish residents to get feral cats spayed/neutered for a $10 co-pay, or owned felines spayed/neutered for a $25 co-pay. The co-pay is collected at the time the voucher is issued. Please contact us at fjaskittens@yahoo.com, or call our Hotline at 504-883-8277 for information on obtaining a voucher. Our "Be a Lifesaver" Spay/Neuter Program is made possible through a generous grant from the ASPCA, PetSmart Charities, United Animal Nations (UAN), the International Fund for Animals (IFAW), and The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Southern Animal Foundation on Magazine St. offers low-cost spay/neuter for cats and dogs. Also, the Dorothy Dorsett Brown Mobile Spay/Neuter Center at the Louisiana SPCA (1700 Mardi Gras Blvd. in Algiers) offers low cost spay/neuter for cats and dogs. For more information, click here. Do you need a trap to trap-neuter-return ferals? We can help you!! We have traps you can borrow - we require a $50 cash deposit which is returned to you when the trap is returned to us.
