Denham Springs Animal Shelter is an Animal Control Facility. To report strays, loose, or nuisance animals; call 664-4472. (Please leave a message if there is no answer.) We need a description of the animal, a description of the problem, your name, address and phone number. Having the owner's name and address is helpful. Animals are only picked up within the City Limits of Denham Springs. Strays are held for five days before being put up for adoption.

As a community service, The Livingston Parish News publishes "Found Pet" ads FREE of charge.
If you have found a pet, call the Classifies Department 665-5176.

To bring an animal into the shelter the animal must have been found within the Denham Springs city limits and you must have a proof that you live within the city limits of Denham Springs.
We do not take personal pets.

If you have found a stray and you live outside the Denham Springs City limits you have options.
You can place a free Found ad in the The Livingston Parish News or The Advocate. You can also place a For Sale ad for under $25.00 in The Livingston Parish News or The Advocate.
