Our
Standard Spay/Neuter Policy...
Each unsterilized animal adopted from the Society is
required
to be spayed/neutered by the adopter's veterinarian
on or about the date entered on the
contract at the time of adoption. After the
procedure is completed, the adopter needs to return
the bottom portion of the contract to the Society
that the veterinarian signed verifying the
spay/neuter.
Upon
receiving verification of the procedure, the Society
will refund to the adopter the $50 spay/neuter
deposit per the Spay/Neuter Deposit Refund Agreement
signed at adoption.
How We Can Help You...
Due to a donation to the Society designating funds
to assist adopters with the cost of the spay/neuter,
each adopter upon submitting proof that the
procedure has been done will receive $25 for a cat
or $50 for a dog in a separate check from the
Society.
In
summary, individuals that adopt a cat will receive a
check of $50 refunding the spay/neuter deposit and a
second check for $25 for a total of $75; adopters of
dogs will receive one check of $50 refunding the
spay/neuter deposit and a second check for $50 for a
total of $100.
This program to assist adopters in defraying the
cost of spay/neuter will continue until the
designated funds are exhausted. We are pleased to
offer this assistance and you are welcome to
contact us if you have any
questions.
