Wayne County Humane Society (and Animal Control) covers more than 720 square miles. We are a non-profit group dedicated to the welfare of all companion animals.

All animals adopted from us must leave with a microchip and be spayed or neutered to help prevent more animals from needlessly being put to sleep.

We can microchip any pet here at our shelter for only $15.00 per animal.

How to Adopt

Kitty If you are interested in any of the pets we have listed, please stop by the shelter. There will be more not listed. Drop by and meet the pet that might be right for your home and family! Our adoption fee is $45.

You must also pre-pay a spay or neuter at the vet of your choice for any animal that is not already altered. The microchip ($15) is also paid by the new owner at the time of adoption. If he/she is ever lost or stolen he/she will have a better chance of getting back to his new family.

We are open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

If you cannot make it during these times... give us a call... we will also open up by an appointment to show you our friends in need of a PERMANENT FAMILY.
