Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue
IN CONSIDERATION OF MY RECEIVING THE SAINT BERNARD DESCRIBED ABOVE I HEREBY AGREE to care for this dog humanely (including adequate food, shelter, water, and veterinary care) and to license this dog in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which I reside in. I ALSO AGREE to keep this dog as a house pet, to be exercised in a fenced yard or on a leash and NOT TO BE FREE TO ROAM THE STREET, TIED OUT IN A YARD, OR LEFT TO RESIDE OUTDOORS. I ALSO AGREE not to sell, trade, or dispose of this dog in any way, but to return the dog to the above named Saint Bernard Rescue if at any time I wish to relinquish custody. I agree to make arrangements with Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue, at my expense, to safely return the dog to the ISBR facility in which it came from. I FURTHER AGREE that the dog shall not be used for medical or any other experimental purpose. The dog shall not be chained or tied and shall not be used as an “Attack” or “Guard” dog or for breeding. IT IS UNDERSTOOD that the above named Saint Bernard Rescue or Agents may examine or inquire about the said dog at any time. If not satisfied with the condition of the dog or the conditions in which it is being kept, the above named Saint Bernard Rescue may reclaim the dog immediately. NO AKC REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE IS APPLICABLE IN THIS TRANSACTION. THIS DOG IS NOT TO BE USED FOR BREEDING.
The health and temperament of this dog cannot be guaranteed due to its unknown history. Although we do strive to place the healthiest of dogs, unforeseen medical problems may arise. The above named Saint Bernard Rescue or Agents cannot be held responsible for this dog, medically or financially, after its adoption.
IN CONSIDERATION OF ALLOWING OWNER TO ADOPT THE RESCUE DOG, OWNER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS, INTENDING TO BE BOUND BY THEM:
Owner understands and agrees that this rescue dog was previously unwanted or lost and may have been rescued by us from a dangerous, unhealthy and/or critical situation; and that this could have long-lasting effects on the dog. Owner understands and agrees that we are making no representations, guarantees or warranties of any kind about the dog, including without limitation, representations as to condition, training, personality or temperament of the dog. Owner agrees that from the date Owner takes possession of the dog that Owner assumes any and all risks and liabilities thereafter associated with the dog and becomes fully responsible for the dog, Further, Owner agrees that as of the date Owner takes possession of the dog, that the Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation, Inc., its volunteers, officers, directors and representatives, are not liable for any claims, legal actions, losses, injuries, damages, costs, expenses or liabilities whatsoever, of any nature, arising thereafter in connection with the dog, including without limitation, any claims or damages arising from the dog's actions, condition, health, behavior or temperament; and Owner agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation, Inc., its volunteers, officers, directors and representatives, from and against any and all claims, legal actions, losses, injuries, damages, costs, expenses (including attorneys fees) or liabilities caused by the dog once adopted. Owner agrees to the foregoing for him/herself, his/her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns.
SHOULD I CHOSE TO RETURN THE DOG FOR ANY REASON, I UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL LOSE THE ENTIRE ADOPTION FEE AND WILL HAVE TO FORMALLY RELINQUISH THE DOG TO ISBR.
I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE AND WILL KEEP THE DOG DESCRIBED HEREIN AS PART OF MY FAMILY.
