In Loving Memory
"A tool in your hands I am dear God, the sweetest
instrument you have shaped my being into. What makes me now complete - feeling the
soul of every creature against my heart. Does every creature have a soul? Surely
they do; for everything God has touched will have life forever.
And all creatures he has held." - St. Francis of Assisi
This space is dedicated to all of the cats and kittens that we have come
in contact with who have sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. We remember them fondly
as they were, for the inspirations and countless joy they brought into our lives
in their time here on earth.
Buddy - March of 2003 - So fragile was your life, but so much love you had to offer.
We loved to watch you cuddle for warmth with your siblings, and we were fascinated
with researching more ways to help all of you. We knew so little in comparison to
what we know now, and we hope to continue learning with your inspiration. Thank
you for being a true muse.
Lil' One (Savannah kitten) - April of 2006 - Though we never met you face to face,
we knew the pain you had endured. And through all that, you fought until you could
no longer hold out for peace. Surely you felt thankful for the good samaritan who
offered you her countless efforts, taking you to several veterinarians, willing
to pay for all of your care, praying for you day and night and hoping you would
reach us safely. We remember your struggle, if not your face, and we strive to ensure
better for other cats in your honor.
Chip - May of 2006 - If only we could have done better by you. If only we had been
able to coax you to us sooner. Whatever it was that had hurt you was ignorant to
the love you held in your heart until your last moments with us. We are grateful
for having known you, even so briefly, and having been able to help put you out
of your pain.
Sakura - June of 2006 - You were such a beautiful young kitten. Although we never
found out why you stopped growing at such a young age, or why exactly you passed
on, we miss your loving purrs of contentment. Even at our most difficult times,
you showed us time and time again how to keep fighting for what we believe in. We
are so very happy we were able to show you love in your short life, and we know
that you watch over us in what we do, safe and free now from the world's worries.
Midnight - July of 2006 - Shy at first, but as you came to know us, you grew closer
each day. You were a tiny, soft kitten, but you had so much of a personality that
was blooming. Suddenly one day, your mind failed you, but we still held on to the
hope of helping you. We hope we were able to show you how much you're loved.
Dexter - July of 2006 -
Tribute coming soon!
Cheyenne - August of 2006 - Such a spunky young lady, with nothing but a love for
life. You were surely a sister to Midnight, as I called you her twin. I worried
that you would not endure such problems, but after a couple of weeks with no signs,
I let my guard down. I loved watching you romp around the room and tackle Aspen,
Sedona, Rubic, Egypt, anyone you could! You were always the first to greet me, and
we miss you terribly. We are comforted in hoping that you are at peace now, playing
happily and looking over us.
Oliver - September of 2006 - You were a wonderful friend in your time with us. May
you rest in peace.
Butterfly - September of 2006 - Soft and delicate you were, and though we tried
our best, our only hope was to let you be free of the pain you had endured. We are
sorry we had not found you sooner. We hope you were able to know love at least once
in your life.
Tiger - October of 2006 - Fragile yet playful, you were a joyous kitten. Although
we spent many sleepless hours by your side, we were always happy to be near you.
Pippen, beloved friend of David's - (b. 1985 - d. 2002) - Born a Michigan
barn cat in 1985, moved to Illinois, New York State and finally settled in Georgia.
His devoted human decided to follow. Kept his human's homes clean of mice and insects
his whole life. Thank you for being such a loyal friend and a great cat. |
