Our meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M.  The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.

Marcia went over the statistics for the month of April.  The Center is being inundated by animals;  as many as 48 came in one day, and over 100 euthanized one Friday.  The Center is still operating under an employee and volunteer shortage so they will remain closed on Fridays when the euthanasia  is done.  Diane Vacca said she gets nasty calls about not being open but there just isn’t the personnel to handle everything.

Marcia said she had two applicants for the open position that she will interview but none looked promising.  She has requested that she be given a temporary worker just to help out with whatever but she wasn’t hopeful about that happening.

The resignation of Mr. Eckert was a surprise and blow to our licensing program.  However, Marcia will continue to update the statistics and we will still be prepared to begin the approval process this fall.

The next meeting will be in September.
