Our meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. at the new facility. The minutes from the march meeting were read and approved.

Marcia handed out statistics sheets and we reviewed them, She reported that State law mandated that an animal be sterilized within 30 days of adoption if over six months old. The Center cannot handle the sterilization of that many animals per week. She mentioned that Carl Alexander talked to her about Dr. Stobias volunteering at the Center. We also discussed that Dr. Disque is retiring and willing to volunteer at the Center, However, he will not be involved with Dr. Stobias. Dr. Disque said that he would help out if the Center could deliver and pick up the animals to be sterilized.

David said he would talk with Henri Woodman and ask her to present a  resolution to the Commissioners to close the Center for a half a day in order to complete the euthanasia while closed. He said he would ask for a full day and settle for a half day. All were in favor of the motion for David to talk to Henri. David also said he was going to discuss the need for another employee with Henri and get her thoughts.

David said that he had spoken with Gary Moore and Gary told David that we had permission to microchip any dog and charge the owner, This issue is moot. Gary Moore told David he would review the ordinances in the fall.
