PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS

There are many ways to help the forgotten and feral cats in your community.

  1. Spay or neuter your own pet and encourage others to do the same.

  2. Join forces with your neighbors and learn how to manage and maintain the cat population in your own neighborhood.

  3. Get your vet involved!!  Alley Cat Rescue has access to excellent resources and/or methods of successfully providing medical treatment for feral cats.

  4. Adopt or foster a feral kitten.  With a little patience, feral kittens can become re-domesticated.  Contact Alley Cat Rescue for more information and to receive the fact sheet, "Taming Feral Kittens."

  5. Adopt or foster an adult cat!  Adult cats provide the benefit of an established personality.  We have many sweet, rescued cats need loving homes.  All are spayed or neutered, some are even declawed.  Contact Alley Cat Rescue for more information.

  6. Make a generous contribution to Alley Cat Rescue.
