| Well, I know my pictures are shocking to you, but let me tell you my story, and how I almost literally starved to death! My name is Tucker and my life was saved by a Labs4rescue volunteer. I was leading a fairly normal life in that I had plenty of food and water, got some attention from my owners, and was on the most part a happy go lucky guy. But all that changed drastically one day. I noticed that my people stopped coming outside in the yard so much and then finally one day they just came out in the yard and tied me up with a rope. They moved my food bowl with some food in it near me and also this huge bucket with some water also nearby. I found that very strange and started worrying that something was really wrong. They did not tell me goodbye, just simply left that one day that changed my life and almost my whole future.
Of course, the food only lasted a couple of days. And the water ran out too about the same time. I still could not figure out why my people had left me, but I had hopes of them returning. But my tummy was telling me that I was hungry and it got worst everyday. I was thinking they will come back to feed me, I just know they will. But they did not return at all. The neighbors did not see what was going on because our yard was fenced with a high privacy fence. But finally one day it rained, finally some water from a mud hole. That is the only thing that saved me for a couple more days. Then one day a neighbor looked over the fence and were shocked to see me. I still had the strength to greet her. She brought me food and water. The vet says that it will take me several weeks to fully recover and that I have Heartworms on top of all this. But first they will need to get some weight on me. Thank you, thank you to Labs4rescue for saving my life and telling me whatever the costs I am truly worth saving and one day soon I will have a loving family that will never leave me.
