Adoption Process & Application

After you have read up on Siberian Huskies and taken the Husky profiler to make sure that this is the right breed for you, then filling out our adoption application form below is the first step toward welcoming a new Siberian into your home! Please complete the form in its entirety, then click the submit button, and one of our volunteers will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

Upon initial contact, we will evaluate your situation and decide what kinds of personality traits you are looking for in your Siberian Husky (e.g., good with kids, older male, already crate trained, etc.). We may schedule a home visit at this time also.

After we have spoken extensively about your desire for a Husky and have determined if there is a Polaris dog (or several) that would be a good match, we will arrange to have you meet with the dog(s).

We will have you complete an adoption contract, and you will need to pay a modest adoption fee at the time you take your new Husky home. And then you are off to enjoy years of happy Husky ownership with your Polaris Rescue dog!!!

The majority of Huskies have a tendency to jump fences. If you have a fence shorter than 6 feet and or a chain link fence, you will have to provide a safe containment. We ask that you review the attached information as to building a hot wire fence for your yard. This is a safe and completely fool proof method of keeping your husky out of harm's way. We have We have been providing this method for over 20 years and it is the only totally reliable way to keep a husky who desires to leave it's yard from doing so. We will be happy to help you with this system. At the time of your home visit, we can demonstrate the procedure to you. Please call our hot line for more information and to explain the advantages of this containment - 970-581-4365.
