Canine Cottage is dedicated to making dogs happy by providing them with activities and exercise during the day when their owners are away. It is a fun day where you bring your dog to socialize, romp, run, fetch and chew toys and balls with other social friendly dogs and our professional staff. We offer dogs an opportunity to continually develop and instill great social skills, build confidence and tolerance, and gives your dog a wonderful outlet to exercise and interact. But we also know that when dogs don’t have downtime, they can get worn out, dehydrated and possibly hurt themselves. Your dog will need a break from all this fun and we know that downtime can often prevent grumpiness and aggressive behavior. Just as little kids need to take naps during the day to re-energize, dogs do too. Consequently we monitor closely your dog’s activity to make sure they have fun and get exercise, but that they do so in a safe environment. The top surface consists of 4 inches of natural, decomposed granite. Decomposed granite is reddish-brown in color. Millions of years ago it started out as granite rock but has "decomposed" into a soft, dirt-like material. However, it is heavier than dirt so it creates less dust and and facilitates drainage. It is environmentally safe and animal friendly. It is healthy for the dogs and easy on their paws and hips. It is easy to clean so there will be less or no fecal contamination. It dries quickly so it doesn't provide a breeding ground for giardia, lepto or parasitic worms. Nor does it provide a nice place for ticks to hide out in. In fact, it is the #1 surface recommended by animal interest groups for use in dog parks, outdoor kennels and horse corrals.

We've created a facility with you and your best friend in mind. In doing so, we have 3 main criteria – The cleanliness of the facility, the health of your dog, and of course, your dog's happiness. With this we can give you complete peace of mind while you are away.

We treat each dog like our own, making the daycare or boarding experience a positive one.
Dogs are supervised at all times.

Canine Cottage Kennel reserves the right to refuse daycare to any pet which we feel may be disruptive to our other guests. We strive to keep stress to a minimum for the benefit of all our guests.

Once the evaluation (see "rules & regulations" below ) process has been completed and your dog begins participating in our doggie daycare, he will be grouped only with friends of similar size and temperament and become part of a carefully managed doggie group.
