Princess Bebe Diana
~ This is Our Girl, Bebe! ~
We found Bebe in April of 2001 after she was cruelly abandoned and left wandering the street in front of our home. She was so very sad and afraid! Only two years old at the time, Bebe was such a beautiful girl, with her silky black fur and gorgeous golden eyes! Since Bebe is so much bigger than Fred and Sam, they were a bit concerned at first, but they soon accepted her and the three formed a sweet and loving bond with one another. Bebe is a frustrated little mother, and she actually thinks of Sam as her baby! For the most part, Sam indulges her and allows her to love and mother him, even though he is much older than she is!
At first, because Bebe was so traumatized by the loss of her first family, she suffered from terrible Separation Anxiety whenever we had to leave the house for any length of time. One day we came home and she had actually become so alarmed by our absence that she had chewed a large hole in the back of our sofa while we were gone! After studying the terrible effects of abandonment and the pain of separation anxiety, we learned that we needed to leave home in very short time increments until Bebe could learn to feel secure that we would never leave her and not return.
Now, several years later, Bebe is a very happy and well-adjusted girl! She loves us completely, and what's more, she knows for sure how very much we love her, too!
