Who We Are
TLC Adoptions is an all-volunteer cat rescue and adoption organization that was founded in 1991. We have placed over 3000 cats and kittens into loving homes. Our focus is street rescue, getting abandoned pets into safe homes and teaching them to feel secure again. We educate the public on the need to spay and neuter all strays and ferals. Our motto is: "IF YOU FEED IT, FIX IT!" We have a limited number of safety traps available (security deposit refunded when returned) and will instruct each borrower on how to catch and transport feral cats to spay/neuter clinics to stabilize feral cat colonies.
Spay/Neuter Information
The main goal in rescue is not just to help stray animals find homes. More importantly, we strive for an end to the pet overpopulation problem. TLC's cats and kittens are always spayed/neutered before placement. We are committed to making sure no TLC rescue ever breeds. One unaltered female cat produces kittens-who produce kittens-who produce kittens- Well, you get the idea!
One unaltered female and her off-spring (conservatively, only 2 litters a year, with 2.8 kittens surviving each time) will produce, in a 10-year breeding period 80,399,780 cats!!! IF YOU FEED A STRAY CAT - FIX IT!
To curb the growth of feral ("wild") cat populations, TLC provides safety traps and education about spay/neuter programs to stabilize feral colonies. A $75.00 deposit (cash or check) is required to borrow a safety trap. The entire amount is refunded when the trap is returned.

Adoption hours every Saturday and Sunday, Noon-4 PM at Centinela Feed located at 413 N. Pacific Coast Hwy. in Redondo Beach next to Panda Express near the intersection of Beryl and Pacific Coast Hwy. |
