Marshall was taken in by another small rescue group at the end of April 2009. At his vet check, he tested positive for FIV, so he came to Katie's Place where we have our Boys' Pen for these special-needs cats. It was no wonder he tested positive. He had arrived in their care, unaltered and with a bad abscess on his ear. Clearly he'd been scrapping with another cat who was doubtless FIV+. The vet estimated his age as about three years. He proved to be a friendly, sweet-natured little character from the start. He'd only been scrapping in desperation to survive on his own, he's not a fighter by nature. He's a quiet boy who stays out of the way. But he gets along nicely with the other cats in the Boys' Pen and he likes people. He doesn't ask for attention, but he enjoys it when it's offered. He's trusting and gentle and he just wants a place where he's accepted. We'll be that place for him for as long as he needs us.
