BOOT CAMP

Instructor: Bert Haagenstad

PLEASE NOTE: BOOT CAMP IS A BEGINNING GROUP OBEDIENCE AND SOCIALIZATION COURSE AND IS NOT MEANT TO TAKE YOU AND YOUR DOG THROUGH MORE ADVANCED OBEDIENCE TRAINING.

All dogs attending Boot Camp must be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason that the dog cannot be altered, in which case you MUST receive a waiver from the Instructor before you attend class.

LOCATION: Deer Valley Park (2001 W Wahalla in Phoenix), near the Community Center at the far north end of the park. The sessions will be held on successive Sundays starting on March 26th [2006]. Due to popular demand, Boot Camp will be ongoing on Sunday. PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE EACH WEEK FOR CLASS TIME.

For those of you who have attended previously, please feel free to come out to continue, refresh or make up any missed classes. We'd be happy to see you!

Boot Camp Basic Obedience and Socialization Course is available on a freewill donation basis and is open to all rescue dogs.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • This is light correction/strong motivation training. Training should be good, quality time spent together!
  • Please, no children. They are too distracting for the dogs and handlers.
  • If your dog should become unmanageable during the class, please expect the trainer to step in to assist you in regaining control. No dog will be turned away for bad behavior.
  • No harsh, physical corrections (i.e., hitting) will be permitted.
  • No flexi-leads or retractable leads.

EQUIPMENT LIST
