NO LONGER DESPERATE

Mercedes was run over at the age of 3 months. Her owners chose to forego surgery and euthanize her. A vet tech intervened and went forward with the recommended amputation. The vet tech neglected to follow up with rehab and left Sadie crated for months, resulting in significant atrophy and related damage. As a result, she was barely able to stand or walk. The vet tech subsequently turned her over to a rescue group; however, this fast growing GSD pup was in desperate need of hydrotherapy.

UPDATE: Mercedes has been ADOPTED by a couple with a pool and has resumed her daily hydrotherapy. She is safe, sound and spoiled. Our evaluator spoke with her PT recently and he was very optimistic about her chances of becoming a healthy, active tripod! AND, Mercedes has started obedience class...even 3 legged dogs need manners!

Judy Gardner has been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer - meaning, her chances for 5 year survival are very poor. Her friend, Suzanne Clothier is trying to help place 7 of Judy's dogs. All dogs are in good health with no known health problems, all are housebroken/crate trained.
