CURRENT REGISTERED VOLUTEERS CAN LOG IN HERE
As we find ourselves growing and developing, we find we have a need for new friends to help with many different areas of maintaining our shelter, keeping it running smoothly, and meeting the different needs of our many animal babies.
The GHHS is always looking for kind-hearted and responsible people who like to give some of their time and talent. Help rescue unwanted and orphaned pets in the Huntsville community by volunteering at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Volunteers contribute their time and love to our shelter pets. You too can help by donating your time and help save the lives of hundreds of pets each year. As we continue to grow; meeting the needs of the city of Huntsville, we need compassionate people to help meet these demands.
Volunteers have specific roles but are not limited to just one area of service. You can help the staff and animals with daily tasks or with special events. We always need people that can help clean, answer the phones and match pets with loving, responsible pet owners.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING VOLUNTEERING FOR THE GHHS, WE ASK THAT YOU COMPLETE A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION by CLICKING HERE to complete and submit the volunteer application. ORIENTATIONS ARE HELD THE 3RD SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH FROM 11am until 3 pm. Please call in advance to place your name on the roster.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST SIXTEEN (16) YEARS OF AGE TO VOLUNTEER.
WE HAVE SEVERAL JOBS THAT CAN BE PERFORMED DAILY OR FOR SPECIAL EVENTS.
WE DO ASK THAT YOU MAKE A DONATION TO COVER OUR ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
• $20.00 FOR STUDENTS 18 AND UNDER
• $30.00 FOR ADULTS
• $15.00 FOR SENIORS FIFTY-FIVE (55) AND OVER
