Frankie: A few weeks ago I tried running Frankie in lead and he had know idea of what to do. He was totally distracted by the other dogs. Yesterday I put him in wheel and he was awsome. Man, what a great dog! My goal for Frankie is to teach him to lead.
Peetie: Peetie ran in swing with a team of 6. He is a STRONG dog and knows what to do.
Chez: Chez has very little experience as a sled dog and needs a some training. He let me put his harness on, but once attached to the gangline he started to bother his neighbor. Eventually he settled down.
Tommy: Tommy ran in swing with a team of 6. He is fairly strong and knows what to do.King Neptune: I haven't tried to run King Neptune. He's more of a lover, snuggler, spooner, couch dog. He stays in the dog yard during the day and sleeps inside on the couch at night. If you're interested in adopting KN, I may consider parting with him if he's in the right home (e.g., where he is spoiled and gets a lot of love and petting and snuggling).
Scully: I haven't run Scully in a while. She's just too fragile looking. I need to take her to the vet.

If you're looking for a lover-snuggle dog, King Neptune is it. He's a medium-big guy who loves to snuggle on the couch and get belly rubs.
I took King Neptune for a walk today and he pulled like mad-- eventually he calmed down a bit. If it ever gets cool out again, I'll put him in harness and see how he does on the ATV.
King Netptune really needs a loving, indoor forever home. I think he could work out as a recreational sled dog, but prefers to be inside. No cats or small livestock-- other dogs are okay.

Frankie is a wonderful dog. If you're interested in adopting him, please do so before I do! The only reason I haven't adopted him yet is because I'd really like to see him in a loving "forever home" where he'd get more attention than what I can give him. He's extremely smart, good looking, and would make a really great friend. Last week I took Frankie for a free run (no leash) with other dogs. He came when called, waited for me, and directed the other dogs on where to go. He instantly learned how to sit before being fed. He is a GREAT dog!!
Scully's Training Log -- July 12, 2004
Scully is still extremely skinny. She no longer jumps or nips at me. Last week I took Scully for a free run (no leash) with other dogs. She came when called and waited for me when she ran too far ahead. Scully needs a loving home where she'll be treated with respect. She's a good girl that seems to have lived a hard life.
Chez's Training Log -- July 12, 2004
Chez is one of my new foster dogs. He (along with Peetie, Jenny, and Jessie) are my neighbor's dog, so I know a little history about him. Chez is a big fluffy black and white teddy bear. He hasn't been in harness much and last season he free ran behind the sled. Chez is a year old. He gets along with other dogs and is very affectionate. Chez is ALLERGIC to straw bedding.
Jessie's Training Log -- July 12, 2004
Jessie is one of my new foster dogs. Her sister is Jenny. Jessie is bigger than Jenny seems to be more independent than her sister. She gets along with other dogs-- she did fine during puppy parties. Jessie is learning how to sit and come when called. I'd like for Jessie and Jenny to be adopted as a pair.
Jenny's Training Log -- July 12, 2004
Jenny is one of my new foster dogs. Her sister is Jessie. Jenny is snaller than Jessie. Jenny can be a bit of a whiner and wants more attention than Jessie. She was nervous during our puppy party (because she was getting picked on by the big dogs)-- but she did okay defending herself. Jenny knows how to sit, come when called, and fetch a ball.
Peetie's Training Log -- July 12, 2004
Peetie is one of my new foster dogs. Peetie is a trained sled dog. He gets along with other dogs during puppy parties. His previous owner says that he's a strong dog, however he overheats when it's above 20 degrees.

Frankie is an awsome dog! He has totally adjusted to living outside and gets along with all of the other dogs. Frankie really likes to be with other dogs. He knows how to jump on his box, comes when called (unless he's too busy), and enjoys being pet. He has a very good tempermant and personality. If you're interested in adopting him, please fill out an application now-- before I get too attached to him :)
