Dog days of summer....whew is it hot! The dogs like to lay in the shade and play in the pool when I let them loose.
I finally adopted Blackberry and Misty. Sent in my check to SCL and they are part of the gang for their whole lives now. I just love them both so much and they fit in so well that I just couldn't let them go! ugh. Why I have a hard time fostering!! I just get too attached (which is a good thing!!!).
Blackberry continues to be shy around most people but is very focused on me. I am planning on doing some obedience training with her as she is very very smart and loves to be active. I can let her loose with the 21 other dogs and although she is not a "dog's dog" she runs around and loves being brushed and fussed over.
She sleeps in the house every night.
Misty really has my heart. From an incredibly shy, fearful dog, she is such a sweetie and a big lover that cuddles up on the bed for pats now.
The only thing is....I can't let her loose with the other huge group. She plays pretty hard and I'm a bit worried that things would get out of control. But she is loose every night with 10 dogs and has a blast. She comes into the house but with her long beautiful coat, she prefers to be outside when it gets to be bed time. She will lay by the door until I let her back out.
Kiche continues to come along. Still very fearful but isn't barking at me as much and will often come and "hit" my leg every time I go through her circle or am scooping poop. I sure will be happy the day that I can let her loose with the other dogs as she really likes to play with her neighbors.
