Baron's weight has gone up to 52 pounds (from 46). He can still carry some more. Now that he's walking nicely, not clinging to the ground, he has a noticeable wiggle in his hips. Sometimes his back feet seem to pigeon-toe while walking. It is likely that he has hip dysplasia or some other confirmation problem. I'm trying supplements right now. I'd like to get Xrays done soon, but I don't think Baron will lie on his back on a table! We'll practice rolling over for treats first. He is now a professional car rider and is good with other dogs in the car.

Baron
The trails here are now mostly water, with some patches of slushy snow. Baron will go thru water but prefers to jump over it whenever possible. He has a very bouncy, prancing trot. Baron will walk alongside me now, and speed up as we near home. Moving vehicles will make him pause, but he doesn't make a big deal out of it. Baron is now pretty confident hanging around our yard, but not when we leave it.
Walker
Walker is a little steamroller -- he will go over or thru anything, dragging me along. He is afraid of loose or barking dogs and will get highly distracted by them.

Baron
Baron's coat is getting shiny bright. He comes over to me or my husband to say hello, then bounces away. He's put on some weight, but still looks skinny. What a difference though! He likes playing with our other dogs, especially Walker and our German Shepherd.
Walker
Walker has a lot of separation anxiety! He has learned to open the front gate and escape the yard, but he only does this if we're getting ready to go out (it's amazing how they know!). Fortunately he always runs over to Baron and hangs out (Baron is using Walker's former doghouse!). Walker is very happy if we take him in the car with us on outings.

Baron
It's been a week since Baron was neutered, and he looks much better. He's put on some weight and doesn't look so ribby. He now eagerly jumps into the car for trips around town. Baron's quiet during dinnertime, but is greedy with food and will try to snatch more.
Walker
Bought a pair of Karhu cross-country skis (wide and fat, not long and whippy). They feel very stable. Walker has recovered well from his neuter and is anxious to get out and about. But now the weather is warm and everything is melting...hopefully we can try going out tomorrow.

Baron and Walker were both neutered on Saturday. Baron weighed in at only 46.6 pounds, needs a lot more weight. Walker, smaller but solid, was 52. Walker is just over his kennel cough, and Baron started sneezing the other day, but apparently the antibiotics have already cleared them up. The surgeries are healing nicely. I took Baron out for another walk today and he did better this time. He didn't try to run off. He still walked behind me mostly, but we moved at a good pace and I got him to trot alongside me too. Baron is easily distracted by things on the ground, so he is learning "On By". He will also "Come" for pats, a treat, or his dinner. Baron also responds to his name. So far, he is good with our other dogs and doesn't challenge them or get stand-offish.
