Serius has been here for about a month and a half now. He is good in the yard and likes to run in fast circles on his post. He will jump on top of his doghouse only if there is something unusual going on and he needs a better view, for instance, to see passers-by on the road. We've had some moose up close and personal, and Serius was smart enough to hide in his house and didn't bark at all. He will go a little crazy at dinnertime, and jumps up a lot; he is king of the flying tackle, and will sometimes sneak-attack from behind too! Serius eats and drinks like he's on fire. No fussiness at all with food. His weight is lean but ideal for running. He will occasionally try to instigate a group howl. Serius knows Sit but can be stubborn about doing so. He is good in a car, and is reliable for long periods, unless other dogs are around -- then he will scratch in an effort to see them. All in all, he is still a youngster with some growing-up to do. We finally had a breakthrough the other day -- he wanted to be patted and held! Up until this point, he was tolerant of attention but didn't ask for any. So I guess I'm not just "the food lady" anymore!
