Smokey Update:
Smokey has been with his potential adopter, Rich, for the past month. Rich immediately put Smokey into training with his middle-distance team. They already had 60 miles on them and Smokey had none. However, Smokey has demonstrated no problems with distance or speed. As of last week, he has about 120 miles on him. He can sprint 18 miles an hour and hold his own. They are doing mostly 10 mile runs right now, and his tug is always tight.
Smoke is getting muscled-up, his feet are in fine shape, and he eats and drinks like a vacuum. Rich is planning on taking his team out to the Denali Highway for training and camping soon. He is also putting together a race schedule, expect to see Smokey on the team.
Rich is planning on adopting Smokey very soon.
