Meet Our Foster Homes

Tammi Rego Contact Tammi & Manny

Tammi & Manny
Tammi & Manny Rego have been running sled dogs for over 10 years and have had dogs all their lives. Beginning with just a few Siberian huskies, Tammi & Manny soon found themselves working with rescue huskies in Montana. Once they moved to Alaska, the Regos continued to rescue dogs here and there by adopting huskies from the shelter and finding homes for them. A few of these rescue dogs went on to run in races with the Regos, such as the Two Rivers 200, the Denali 120 and the Solstice 100, as well as several smaller races throughout the years. In fact, one of their best leaders came from the shelter, and though he's now turning 12 years old, he's running strong on a friend's rec team and enjoying his retirement, training more up-and-coming leaders.

Currently, the Regos have a kennel of 27 dogs, including old dogs, young pups, and adult race dogs. The primary focus of the kennel is mid-distance racing; however, it's fun to run the dogs in sprint races now and then. Their son, Devlyn has even taken up mushing, making it a family affair. He currently runs in the 1-dog races with Jr ADMA. The majority of the kennel consists of hounds/hound crosses, with a few huskies thrown in for good measure. The Regos have been working with hounds for several years now, and truly enjoy the challenge and personality of these great dogs.
