Humane Society of Amherst County
News
Virginia State Law requires that all animals adopted from a Humane Society must be
spayed or neutered. It is our policy that no adoptions are made beyond Amherst County, the City of Lynchburg
or counties adjacent to Amherst County, unless the animal is at least six months old and can be
spayed or neutered before it leaves the area.
We have plenty of kittens and cats and puppies and dogs looking for loving homes. Remember, any time is a good time for a new companion! If you don't see what you're looking for today, keep checking. The perfect pooch or kitty may be just around the corner! :)
Have a great day and remember...
Until there are none, adopt one!
