German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue of North Texas is a 501(c)3non-profit that places abandoned GSPs in safe, loving homes. We are not a shelter, we are a foster home based rescue group. We rely on foster homes and your tax deductible donations to save as many GSPs as possible.

South Austin Adoption Event—First Saturday Every Month - July 4th
We will be having an adoption event in south Austin at the Petsmart on I-35 near Slaughter from from 10am to 1pm on the first Saturday of every month. Please come out to support us and meet all the great Austin dogs! If you are interested in adopting that day, be sure to fill out an adoption application as early as possible before the event! An approved application will speed up the process on adoption day AND allow you take home a dog that same day, if the dog is a match for your family. Dogs most likely to attend the event:
- Dogs fostered in the Austin area
- Please contact us if you are planning to attend and wish to meet a certain dog!

Dallas Area Austin Adoption Event—July 5th from 12pm to 2pm
We will be having an adoption event in the Dallas area at the Petsmart in McKinney. An approved application will speed up the process on adoption day AND allow you take home a dog that same day, if the dog is a match for your family.
