We are always in need of temporary foster homes for cats, kittens, and dogs. Foster homes enable each animal to be given the extra time and care it needs so that it can be comfortably adopted.

About Us
The New Rochelle Humane Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1911 and dedicated to providing individual care for lost, abandoned and mistreated animals. We help seventeen different towns in lower Westchester and offer assistance with their stray domesticated animals found on the streets.

Because we are often overwhelmed by the numbers of strays housed in our facility, we do not accept privately owned animals and instead assist owners with options and ideas which allow them to place their animals in new homes using other resources. We have contact information of local wildlife rehabilitators who can provide sufficient care for wildlife and species of domesticated animals other than dogs and cats.

Hours Of Operation
We are open 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except Thursdays when we are open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
