Emily

"Emily" - or so she was named here - came to stay w me for almost 10 mos.

Clearly a senior cat when found wandering around outside by a canal, she was turned into an emergency animal clinic. There she was found to be full of fleas, completely deaf, and in chronic renal failure. When I picked her up 9/09/05 the vet said "she has a few weeks-few months" left, but she was never one to let a human decide anything for her! and stayed til 6/25/06. During that time she heartily ate Lots of food! which she demanded on her own schedule, along w a daily vitamin to help her parathyroid gland.

Gradually, she came to take over the house she lived in, finding fav beds or kitty 'cubes' to hide in (trying to avoid the dreaded comb.....), or curling up beside her person in a human bed. She had no fear of other animals, and would be seen sleeping beside another cat from time to time. One lucky girl, she rewarded her person w lots of purrs, headbutts, + superloud meows! -- until it was her time to leave this earth.

You are sadly missed and hopefully now you are frolicking free of your frail body, my Emily. Whoever lost you gave me a gift - thank you for coming to stay w me...til one day we meet again.

PS- Say hi to Madeline, Stormy, Shingi -- there for us!

Your Person, Connie
