The SPCA has volunteer opportunities in the following areas:

Adoption Center -

Adult volunteers needed for outings, including taking animals to visit local nursing homes. Some heavy lifting required.

Foster homes needed. The SPCA is contacted many times from people who are in desperate situations such as abuse that requires them to immediately leave their home, someone whose home is being foreclosed, someone going to the hospital that has no one to take care of their animals and are looking for someone to foster for a short time. References for fostering from your vet will be required.

Clinic -

Adult volunteers needed for miscellaneous clerical work.

Thrift Store -

Volunteers needed for many area's: displaying merchandise, clothing coordinator, Furniture placement, merchandise sorting, telephone operations and appointment setting, electronic testing, furniture pick-up and delivery, and much more. There is an area for everyone.
