West Alabama Animal Rescue The primary mission of W.A.A.R. is that of rescuing animals who have been abused, abandoned, lost, starving, those living in unbearable conditions and those facing certain euthanasia at the local animal shelter. Maddie's Adoption Room rescues animals from Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter. Our goal is to guarantee adoptions for all healthy shelter dogs and cats from Tuscaloosa County within seven years. Maddie's Adoption Room is supported by a grant from Maddie’s Fund®, the Pet Rescue Foundation.
